About Khrystyna
I am currently a PhD Candidate at Oakland University, MI, USA.
I am extremely passionate about teaching students in Academia, I see this as a way of helping young minds excel in the field of Biomedical Sciences. It also ensures that I am constantly refreshing and enhancing my own knowledge in Biology and Medicine.
My research interests include studying genetic composition of underrepresented populations in Eastern Europe, as well as the distribution of medically relevant genome diversity of common and rare alleles in this area.
In addition, I am studying the genetic basis of the phenomenon of dizygotic twinning in humans.
I have been teaching students in Academia for approximately 10 years. As an undergraduate medical student, I tutored and successfully prepared around 15 entrants for different medical schools in Europe.

My teaching style is always interactive, I do not normally lecture students for more than 30% of the class time.
Instead, I allow them to apply their knowledge to solving practical tasks and express themselves. I do understand that there are different students with various types of learning skills and memory, so I constantly try to adapt to their personality and mood. My aim is always a great result, which exceeds even students' expectations.
Also, I am constantly updating my knowledge through doing research, reading scientific articles and participating in conferences and symposia.
