About Lily
Arithmetic is rarely about speed, despite what most classrooms suggest. I actually enjoy the moments when a student realizes that math is a language rather than just a set of rules to follow.
My expertise covers homework help, arithmetic and number sense, geometry, algebra, calculus, and SAT/ACT math prep. Working with 96 students has shown me that science is best learned by asking why, not by memorizing formulas. Being a PhD candidate at UNSW Sydney allows me to bring a high level of analytical rigor to every interaction.
I have spent 12 years honing these skills to support diverse learners who want to move past confusion. My methodology remains steady and structured, which helps during those trickier units, I suppose.
