About Ian
Passionate and creative science educator dedicated to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning atmosphere. Obtained my PhD at UCSC where I worked as a teaching assistant and for 5 years with over 500 students teaching general chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry. In addition, I provided private tutoring to approximately 200 students and significantly helped improving their grades.

I base my tutoring sessions of what students find challenging by providing multiple ways to elucidate chemical principles, and demonstrating how such principles can be used to solve problems. I allow students to take ownership of their learning by making sure they connect the dots!
