About Stanley
I have been teaching for over 5 years and have recently obtained my PhD. In addition to gaining the knowledge from my degree I also specialize in addressing the concerns with learning a difficult subject like organic chemistry. Science communication is my specialty from the well-learned student to those just starting out. My favorite moments from teaching are those "A-Ha's" and "Oh that makes sense!" and I make it my duty to get you to say that as much as possible.

My instruction will be based on your course material since chemistry is taught in many different ways. My area of expertise focuses on organic chemistry to build molecules, characterizing functional groups, and complex multistep synthesis pathways. In my 5 years of teaching I learned to break down complex ideas into digestible bits of information. I reinforce key fundamental concepts, helping connect those lessons to a wide range of problem sets where I see most students struggling. I also understand the intimidation factor of the subject and have seen from experience how my teaching style allows my previous students to better understand the material. I love to teach and have great enthusiasm for chemistry so I look forward to helping you understand more about the world of molecules!
