About Ahmed
I have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta and have 8 years of experience tutoring students at different universities. I specialize in electrical power systems (Mathematical modeling of electrical circuits, machines, wind energy, photovoltaics, power electronics, ...etc.). My mission is not to help you succeed but to also excel. I received a teaching award at the University of Alberta not only because I am good at teaching but also because I am responsive outside the class.

My strategy is to help and support students to achieve their objectives. I believe a good teacher does not only deeply understand science but must be able to deliver it in a simple way to the majority. Therefore, I first try to figure out my students' capabilities to provide quality learning experiences and challenge all students. I strongly believe that students understand above 50 % of the class when they take notes and the rest of the class can be understood at home. Therefore, I start my class by writing the most important notes on the board, leaving space on the board to add comments arise from student's questions. I also dedicate a lot of time to students' questions after class, either via email or face to face meetings. Being responsive makes students feel supported and confident they will get help, which makes students more productive and innovative.
