About Rakhi
Hey there, I am Dr. Rakhi Sankhla, a tutor at A Plus Academics. I am a PhD-qualified psychologist with a strong passion for supporting children’s learning and literacy development. Over the past year, I have worked with a range of primary school students to build confidence in English and NAPLAN preparation, combining my background in psychology with engaging, evidence-based teaching methods. My approach focuses on understanding how each child learns best — fostering not only academic growth but also motivation, focus, and self-belief.

I’m a PhD-qualified psychologist with a passion for helping children grow in confidence and develop strong literacy skills. With over 1 year of tutoring experience, I bring both academic expertise and a deep understanding of how children learn best. My sessions are student-centred and confidence-focused. My background in psychology allows me to understand each child’s individual learning style and tailor activities accordingly.
Subjects - Primary School English (Years 1-6) and NAPLAN (Years 3 & 5)
Lessons are structured according to the child; involving assessment preparation, working through NAPLAN practice papers, working on writing, spelling and reading comprehension skills, etc. Please contact for availabilities (weekdays and weekends). Available for both online and in-person sessions.
