About Naya
Hello! I’m Naya, a native Chinese speaker and a PhD student in hydrobiology. I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge of Chinese language and culture in an engaging, professional way. With years of experience in both academic research and tutoring, I bring a depth of expertise to my lessons that is especially valuable for students interested in ecological topics or specialized vocabulary.
My academic and teaching background allows me to create structured and effective lesson plans tailored to each student’s level and goals. I am fluent in English, which allows me to support students by bridging language gaps and making complex concepts more accessible. My goal is to create a supportive and confidence-building environment where you can comfortably practice speaking, ask questions, and explore the nuances of the Chinese language.
With a commitment to professionalism and a clear, organized teaching style, I am dedicated to helping you reach your language learning objectives. Whether you're just starting or looking to expand your knowledge in areas like environmental science or culture, I am here to guide you every step of the way!

Hello! I’m Naya, a native Chinese speaker and PhD student in hydrobiology, excited to share my knowledge of both language and environmental topics. Here’s a glimpse of my teaching approach:
I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and interests. My methods emphasize real-world application, focusing on foundational pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational skills for beginners. I use examples from daily life or topics like fishing and ecology, integrating practical language skills with cultural elements to make each lesson engaging. For advanced learners, I offer focused lessons that incorporate specialized vocabulary and complex sentence structures.
Each lesson begins with a quick review of the previous material to reinforce learning. We then introduce new vocabulary and sentence patterns, practicing through interactive conversations and thematic exercises. For those interested, I integrate ecological topics, such as discussing real-world environmental scenarios in Chinese, which adds depth and relevance to language learning.
With my background in hydrobiology and a passion for outdoor activities like fishing, I bring a unique, hands-on perspective to language learning. This approach is ideal for students with an interest in environmental science, sustainability, or simply learning Chinese in a more dynamic way.
My lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate Chinese learners, from adults seeking conversational skills to students interested in specialized language topics.
