About Warren
Hi, I am a 3rd year PhD student in synthetic biology and a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Manchester. I hold a Master's and a Bachelor's degree from Imperial College London (BSc Chemistry, First Class Honours & MRes Systems and Synthetic Biology, Distinction). I have extensive experience (8+ years) tutoring IB, A-Levels, and GCSEs to more than 20+ students, all achieving Grade 8/9 in GCSEs, A-A* in A-Levels, and 6-7 in IB. I specialise in lessons centred around techniques for answering exam questions. I am also a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where I hold tutorials for undergraduate and master's students at the university.

I focus on building real understanding and application of knowledge through questions. That means encouraging students to explain their reasoning, make mistakes, and work through confusion rather than memorising shortcuts that fall apart under pressure.
Then, we work together in attempting past paper after past paper. This lets the student become very familiar and experienced with what to expect in the exam, and flags up notable areas of weakness.
