About Nuwan
I'm a physics graduate from Thompson Rivers University and co-author of a peer-reviewed paper published in IOP Nanotechnology. Originally from Sri Lanka, now based in Kamloops. I tutor university and high school students in maths and physics, and I also work in software, so I can show you where the maths actually gets used rather than leaving it abstract. Most of my students are not people who find maths easy. They are people coming back to it after years away, or working through a course that moved faster than they did. That is the work I enjoy most.

I teach maths and physics at high school and first-year university level: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and the systems, determinants and matrices in technical maths courses. How I run a session: you try the problem first, I watch where it breaks, and we fix that rather than me working through examples while you watch. I will also tell you why a method exists, not just how to follow it. Students often say that is the part nobody explained. I prepare properly. My students get written notes, practice sheets and worked solutions for each topic we cover, so there is something to work from between sessions. Lessons online or in person in Kamloops. Happy to start with a conversation about what you are stuck on.

Details
Sessions are usually one hour, or two for a full topic. Payment by e-transfer after each session or weekly, whichever suits you. I send written notes and practice sheets for whatever we cover, at no extra charge. In-person sessions in Kamloops at the TRU library or another public spot.
