About Kais
UCL Physics graduate with four months of one-on-one maths lesson experience as a teaching assistant at my old sixth form where I achieved an A*AA in Physics, Maths and Chemistry.
One of my final year optional modules, Physics Education, gave me the unique insight of learning about the many different philosophies of teaching, how to practically apply these philosophies and breakdown difficult concepts to a range of ages.
This module also tied in with our group project where we had the opportunity to plan and teach a double science lesson on energy to a class of 30 year 7's. This project was a humbling success earning us the highest grade out of 17 other groups in our academic year.

Lessons usually last for 60 minutes but can change depending on the needs of the student. Teaching students individually allows me to personally tailor lessons to their ability and pace by understanding how they personally think about and approach problems.
The general pace of lessons will be determined at a topic by topic basis with problem questions set at the end of every lesson. At the beginning of every lesson, areas of difficulties in the topic/problem questions from the previous lesson will be addressed and any misconceptions around them cleared up.
Lessons will be structured to optimise understanding and learning how to use that knowledge to accelerate progression and exceed grade expectations.
