About Melody
I have a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. I have had 8 yrs of piano lessons, and have taught piano for several years, and have also taught toddlers and preschoolers in the classroom setting. I have accompanied my highschool choir, my college traveling Chorale, and a music camp choir. I also spent 8 months in South Africa and taught art and music to children there.

I follow the Alfred's Basic piano books as a base for theory and scales. I also like to incorporate my own ideas and work to tailor the learning to each individual student. I want them to play music they love and are excited to practice. I want to pass on my love of piano to my students more than getting them to play perfectly. I believe that this passion is what will take them far!
