Super Tutor

Benjamin is one of our best Politics tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Benjamin

I'm a Politics tutor with a strong academic background in the subject — I achieved an A* in Edexcel A-Level Politics myself, and I've been accepted to study Political Science at American University in Washington, DC, so I bring genuine, current enthusiasm for the subject rather than just a grade on paper. I've helped classmates work through exactly the same essay structure and exam technique challenges I now teach, so I understand where students typically get stuck and how to fix it. My approach is direct and results-driven: we work on the specification, the mark schemes, and the exact skills examiners reward, so you leave every session with a clearer sense of how to improve your grade.

About the lesson

I achieved an A* in Edexcel A-Level Politics, and I tutor with one focus: turning strong subject knowledge into strong exam grades. Most Politics students at GCSE and A-Level already know the content, what costs them marks is structure, evaluation, and hitting the assessment objectives examiners are actually looking for. That's exactly where I focus every session.

I work through the full Edexcel specification, UK Politics, Core Ideologies, UK Government, and comparative politics as well as global politics, using real past papers and examiner reports to target the specific things that separate a B from an A, or an A from an A*. Sessions are built around timed essay practice, structured feedback, and clear frameworks for tackling 12-mark, 25-mark, and comparative questions with confidence.

I tutor entirely online, with flexible availability to fit around school schedules. Whether you're building foundational understanding or refining exam technique in the final stretch before results, I'll give you a clear, direct plan to get there.

Perfect! Although I was previously worried about taking lessons online, Benjamin makes lessons extremely engaging and easy to understand, and I am already seeing improvements in both my knowledge in the subject and also essay writing. Whilst I initially chose politics as a filler subject, it is becoming my favourite thanks to him !

As a close friend and colleague of Mr. Benjamin Glover, I take his reputation as a formidable politics scholar to high regard. I would recommend his expertise to upcoming politicians for his patience and adaptability to tutor any student he comes across. Mr. Glover helped me to gain a deeper understanding of American & UK politics in a way that allowed me to progress in my journey of politics and economics. The tasks and assignments he prepared were very clear and easy to understand, while still being challenging and engaging as an experienced politics student like myself.

Benjamin was a classmate of mine and would teach me about his class as a form of revision. He would always go over things carefully if I didn’t understand and would explain it patiently until I did. Would definitely recommend him as a tutor!!
