About John
It is very humbling when I walk into the school and the students run up to me excited to see me. I care so much for these children and their educational success. I use humor and compassion often which comes very natural for me. My greatest pleasure is seeing proud smiles when a student realizes they can do it.

I use a multifaceted approach to teaching the foundations and love of reading. I believe phonics are very important, but my specialty is introducing high interest literature. I feel I have a gift for this. My students come away with a love of reading and learning.
