My teaching method is bespoke to each student, as each child is different and requires different approaches to learning. I base my teaching from the Kodaly Method of Music Education, which uses sight, movement, and aural skills to develop the ear and connect different aspects of learning to musical development.
I am an energetic violin, viola, and general music tutor with over a decade of experience, working with pupils of all ages and levels of playing/experience. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance and am currently a candidate for a Masters of Music Performance (postgraduate student). I am a passionate and dedicated tutor, and my students have been successful in auditions, exams, ABRSM, and other music programs. I tailor lessons to each pupils needs, and teach young students and early years using the Kodaly method of Music Education. My lessons are fun and interactive, perfect for young kids just starting out in music, wanting to learn more outside of school, or looking for violin and viola tuition!
I teach from the Carlton Studios in Glasgow City Centre, so the hourly rate is in accordance with the Musicians Union minimum requirement. For online lessons, the fee is lessened due to the omission of travel costs/studio space fees. When pupils purchase multiple hours in advance, the lessons are discounted further.
