About James

I am studying my master's degree in human nutrition at Oxford, and can offer support for GCSE and A-Level sciences, and degree-level health, nutrition, physiology and exercise performance. I also achieved A* at GCSE in History, and have continued personal study of the subject after finishing my exams.

About the lesson

I always link my lessons to current issues in the news, to help focus my students and give them a real-world problem or issue to narrow their focus, and then explore how the subject works and take the student step-by-step from first principles to understanding the real-world problem, and then challenge THEM to find a potential solution. The best lessons are the ones where most of the questions come from the student exploring the subject, not a teacher lecturing them!
