I’m Prachit Shah, a STEM tutor who believes every concept should feel logical, achievable, and worth mastering. My instruction begins with a quick diagnostic to uncover a learner’s current understanding and preferred thinking style. From there I build “concept scaffolds”: concise explanations paired with visual models on Desmos, GeoGebra, or screen-shared sketching so students see patterns rather than memorize steps. I favor Socratic questioning to prompt analysis, then immediately solidify insights through targeted practice and rapid feedback.
A standard 60-minute session is divided into five segments:
Warm-up (5 min) – one diagnostic problem that reveals misconceptions.
Concept Focus (15 min) – interactive explanation using real-time visuals.
Guided Practice (15 min) – worked examples solved collaboratively, emphasizing reasoning over rote.
Independent Challenge (20 min) – problems adapted on the spot to stretch or reinforce, with live troubleshooting.
Reflection & Preview (5 min) – learner summarizes the “why,” sets a micro-goal for next time, and receives a printable recap with extension tasks.
What distinguishes my tutoring is the fusion of industry-grade problem decomposition. I translate computational thinking into digestible steps that empower students to attack equations or science inquiries with calm strategy. Analytics from digital tools track progress between sessions, letting me adjust plans before misconceptions harden.
