About James
Many of my friends that have struggled with their science courses (especially chemistry) have come to me and I ended up assisting them throughout every new concept that was taught.
Furthermore, I grew up assisting my brother with the subjects he struggled with and I helped homeschool my nephew when the need arose. In most of my STEM classes I would form study groups that many students would attend to better understand the concepts being taught (this ultimately led to the professors asking me to become a teaching assistant for the subsequent class).
It was always exciting to watch them grow in their confidence as they began succeeding in the courses that previously brought them so much stress. My favorite thing that my classmate told me when I walked them through a tough problem was, “I don’t understand this yet, but I’m going to!” And sure enough, we both ended up with A’s that semester for Organic Chemistry.

I was employed as a tutor/Teaching Assistant for practically the entire 4yrs of my undergraduate education. I utilized these skills to not only help the students at my school, but to help my friends. This exposed me to a myriad of different ways to explain things to find whatever method suits your learning needs best.
I’m used to tutoring/teaching science and math courses anywhere from Jr. High to College level.
