About Alec
I am a Chemistry tutor with 8 years of experience and an MChem degree. I have taught over 250 students from GCSE through to advanced undergraduate Chemistry. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, physical, and biochemistry comprehensively. I am passionate about developing genuine chemical understanding in every student. My Chemistry lessons build conceptual clarity and confident problem-solving ability simultaneously throughout every session. Every lesson begins with review of previous content and problems before introducing new material at the appropriate challenge level. Organic chemistry is covered systematically through all major reaction mechanisms with full arrow-pushing diagrams and clear electronic reasoning. Physical chemistry is developed with complete mathematical rigour across thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry. Biochemistry including macromolecule structure, enzyme kinetics, and metabolic pathways is taught in depth. Inorganic chemistry covers periodicity, bonding, and transition metal chemistry. Past paper questions are integrated throughout every lesson. Lesson content is adapted to each student's examination board requirements. Structured notes and targeted problem sets are provided after every session. My goal is for every student to approach Chemistry with genuine understanding and reliable method.
