About Sara
I hold a BA in English Language and Literature and an MA + Certificate of TESOL. I've been teaching ESL since 2000. I teach Academic, Business, General and Conversation courses. I also prepare for TOEFL and IELTS.
I have worked with learners from all over the world: African, Asian, Hispanic, French, and Arab students. I deliver my content in an organized way. I look for ways to maintain a steady pace that is not too slow or too fast. I tailor my lesson plans and selection of materials according to my learners' needs. I provide constructive and useful feedback. I also help my learners improve their pronunciation.
My methods are communicative. I use drills, elicitation techniques, role-plays, discussions, games, and authentic media sources.

My teaching methods derive from the Communicative Method of Language Teaching, blended with the Cognitive Method. This means that I place importance on the four skills of the language. Reading and listening are receptive and cognitive, whereas writing and speaking are more productive and communicative.
I use a plethora of activities, tasks, apps, websites, games, media and authentic sources to help me meet my learners' needs. All my course outlines and materials are tailored for my learners' needs.
