About Ilona

I am a professional fine art realism artist with a deep passion for the technical and atmospheric qualities of drawing. For me, sitting still and sketching is not just a technical discipline, but a deeply rewarding, meditative process that brings incredible focus and mental rest. I want to teach because I love helping other artists unlock those same creative and technical breakthroughs. My goal is to create an inspiring, supportive space where students can transition from standard drawing to gallery-standard work, mastering the advanced pencil skills required to transform their artistic vision into reality.

About the lesson

We focus heavily on mastering my signature fine art realism style, prioritising atmosphere, depth, and sensory feeling over mechanical detail. Together, we break down complex portraits into manageable exercises, studying pencil control, proportions, and advanced textures like hair, skin, and fabric. We use premium graphite and charcoal to turn drawings into captivating visual anchors.

Ilona is an incredibly talented realism artist—her work is truly outstanding. The level of detail and realism in her art is remarkable; each piece looks so lifelike, it could easily be mistaken for a photograph. I have had the opportunity to see first-hand her dedication and passion for teaching.
What I appreciate most about her teaching methods is her patience, kindness and most of all her supportiveness.
Her knowledge and enthusiasm for art are clear in everything she does, particularly in her teaching of realism art.
I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. She is not only an amazing teacher but also a wonderful person who inspires those around her.
