About Otis
I am a passionate flute tutor who loves helping students grow both creatively and technically. My teaching combines mentorship, critical thinking, creativity, and accountability. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging musical expression. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to strengthen overall musicianship. My goal is to build confidence, independence, and a love for music in every student. I also teach related subjects such as performance preparation, rhythm, and theory. I teach flute with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and structured learning. I believe students learn best when they are curious, supported, and challenged. Each lesson is designed to help students understand music deeply while developing technical skill. I act as a mentor, guiding students to explore sound, phrasing, and rhythm.
