About Kiling
For the past 8 years, I have taught piano to nearly 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. Teaching piano allows me to combine structured instruction with mentorship, helping students develop both technical skill and performance confidence.
My teaching philosophy emphasises consistent practice, discipline, and expressive playing. I work on posture, hand coordination, finger control, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, and interpretation. I also encourage students to connect emotionally with their music to enhance their performances.
I create goal-oriented lesson plans and teach effective practice strategies for home study. Many students have performed successfully in recitals, competitions, and school events, while others have achieved high distinctions in graded music examinations.
My aim is to provide a motivating, supportive, and inspiring environment where students feel confident, capable, and eager to reach their full potential as pianists.

My piano lessons are designed around adaptation, flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that learning music should be enjoyable and structured at the same time. I adjust my teaching strategies depending on whether a student learns better visually, audibly, or through hands-on practice.
I focus on essential piano techniques, correct posture, hand independence, rhythm training, and expressive playing. I use creative exercises to strengthen memory and listening skills. Lessons are flexible, allowing students to progress comfortably.
Collaboration helps students take responsibility for their learning. I involve them in choosing pieces that match their level and interests. I maintain a positive learning space where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow from them.
I also teach music theory, ear training, keyboard harmony, and basic music history. These additional subjects enhance performance and build a complete understanding of music.
