About Kirun
My name is Kirun and I just moved to Oregon a few months ago. My favorite subjects in school were always history and science. I graduated a performing arts high school in Las Vegas, Nevada where I learned classical guitar. I still love to play every day.
In college, I studied biotechnology and learned a lot about how to conduct experiments in a laboratory and how companies use this process to create new medicinal drugs to sell. I also worked in a plant biology laboratory during this time and researched how plants react to climate change.
After finishing college, I chose to go to graduate school in Pomona, California to study genetics, which is something that I have always been curious about. I now work part-time as a researcher and get to continue learning new things every day.

In my lessons we can focus on developing the critical thinking skills needed to dissect complex reading passages and how this may be used to improve test taking. We can also work on crafting a strong personal voice which can be helpful for writing school essays, job applications, or personal statements for school.
I will work hard to tailor my lessons to my student's needs and meet them where they are at. Lessons will be collaborative and discussion-based. Reading materials will be provided for free to students.
