About Ryan
I am a professional software engineer with over 20 years of experience. I've degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
I enjoy mentoring and collaboration with my colleagues on any problem they're working through. The pair programming approach, where we discuss and work on coding problems together, is effective for learning quickly and writing high quality code. There's often great discussion about approaches to a problem. It really is often the case that two heads are better than one.

I approach at your level, whether it is beginning or advanced. It would be good to understand where you feel you're at, anything you'd like to review, and then jump into pairing (working together) on practical problems and discussions. In doing so, we'll talk about the problem, the programming languages, various approaches one might use, really anything related to working on the problem that comes up.
You should always feel free to ask questions, sharing whatever you're thinking, and if you want to try explore or try something, we can diverge to those, then circle back to the problem.
Pair programming is about collaborating and sharing ideas, which often results in both solving the problem and learning new things along the way.
