About Almir Guilherme
I understand Geography as a very important science, to drink from the most diverse sources, in the development of the critical eye, thus enabling the student to read society in a broad and complex way, and to convey the importance of solidarity, since agglutinates the knowledge of the most diverse sciences, such as Geology, Geomorphology, Economics and Biology, highlighting the exchange of knowledge, group work, values so important in the current moment of our society. In addition, I had the opportunity to interact with traditional communities, such as: Quilombolas, Indígenas and Caiçaras. In this way, my formation, as well as my geographical view - provided with their experiences and knowledge -, could be expanded. Finally, as a trainee of the GDEN (Natural Disaster Research Group), I was able to work with members of institutions such as Civil Defense, INEA and Cemaden, with a focus on the study of the geomorphological characteristics of the municipality, aiming at the better development of the Alert System and Alarm.
