Navaruna, an eminent historian hailing from Guwahati, currently holds the position of Head of Department in the Department of History at Surana College's South End Campus. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in the esteemed School of Historical Studies at Madurai Kamaraj University, where her research focuses on the prison culture during colonial India. Additionally, Navaruna actively writes about various aspects of Indian culture and endeavors to raise awareness about our rich heritage.
With a dual master's degree in History and Women's and Gender Studies, Navaruna has showcased her research at numerous conferences and published in reputable journals. She is deeply committed to contributing to the growth and development of society and is involved with a prominent NGO in Bangalore that provides educational assistance to underprivileged children.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Navaruna is a skilled professional dancer and a fitness enthusiast who passionately advocates for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
