About Amal
I am a passionate writer and former student editor with an MBA from IIM and background in corporate consulting. Having written extensively across fiction, creative prose, and structured business communication, I view writing not merely as an academic subject, but as a vital craft for thinking clearly and articulating ideas with impact.
I teach to help students move beyond mechanical writing and discover the power of their own authentic voice. Whether helping school students build a rock-solid foundation in grammar and storytelling, guiding teenagers through board-level composition, or mentoring young adults in structured analytical writing, my focus is on turning hesitant writers into confident, expressive, and compelling storytellers.

College Students & Young Adults: Polishing long-form compositions, dissertations, critical analysis, and expressive written arguments.
Class Structure & Methodology:
Concept & Prompt: Breaking down literary devices, sentence architecture, or narrative structures using engaging examples.
Interactive Drafting: Guided writing exercises where students apply techniques directly through short prompts or project chapters.
Constructive Critique: Detailed, encouraging feedback focusing on vocabulary choice, tone, pacing, and grammatical coherence.
Whether preparing for academic excellence or developing original creative stories, I create a collaborative, inspiring space where every student develops an authentic, confident voice on the page.

I have known Amal for the last 20+ years. He has an absolute gift when it comes to working with children. He has a way with kids that instantly puts them at ease, and his energy in class is just unmatched. He himself is very creative, and I definitely love the way he brings that out in you.
