I am a high school Science teacher with over three years experience in the classroom. I have experience tutoring students weekly after school hours. I endeavor to provide engaging lessons that appeal to the interests of students in order for them to understand the real-world relevence of knowledge to their everyday lives. I implement pedagogical approaches that ensure that my teaching is shaped and influenced by the needs and goals of the learner. I feel that it is important to implement effective questioning in lessons in order to foster critical thinking in students. I also endeavor to bridge gaps between content knowledge and students' everyday lives in order to allow for students to grasp theoretical concepts and make them concrete. This allows students to develop a deeper understanding of their learning and apply new knowledge to real-life situations.
