About Jacqueline
I’m an experienced teacher currently working at a well-regarded international school in China, where I teach students across a range of ages and ability levels. My role has given me extensive experience planning engaging lessons, adapting material for individual learners, and helping students build both confidence and academic ability.
I have taught English in both classroom and individual settings, including speaking, pronunciation, grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary. I particularly enjoy working with students who need a little extra confidence or who benefit from concepts being explained in a clearer, more patient way.
My teaching style is friendly, supportive and structured. I take time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my lessons accordingly, while still making sure that students are challenged and continue to make measurable progress.
Working within an international-school environment has also given me experience teaching students from different backgrounds and working with internationally recognised curricula and teaching approaches.
Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing genuine confidence in their English rather than simply memorising answers.

My lessons are friendly, structured and adapted to each student’s age, level and goals. I focus on helping students build confidence while developing practical English skills they can use both in school and in everyday conversation.
Lessons can include speaking practice, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and comprehension. For younger learners, I use games, visual activities, simple challenges and guided conversation to keep lessons engaging. For older students, lessons can be more structured and can focus on schoolwork, exam preparation, fluency or specific areas they would like to improve.
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes, so I create a supportive environment while still encouraging them to challenge themselves. I explain new language clearly, provide plenty of examples, and gradually increase the difficulty as the student becomes more confident.
Each lesson is personalised, so we can focus on the areas where the student needs the most support rather than following the same programme for everyone.
