About Kieran
Hi, I'm Kieran, a qualified Mathematics teacher from the UK and someone who genuinely enjoys helping students build confidence and succeed in maths.
At 25, I haven't been out of school for very long myself, so I still remember exactly what it feels like to sit in a maths classroom wondering, "When am I ever going to use this?" or feeling completely lost when a topic doesn't make sense the first time. Because of that, I try to teach maths in a way that I would have wanted to be taught when I was a student.
One thing I am passionate about is making maths feel relevant and understandable. Rather than simply memorising methods, I like to use real-world examples and practical situations to show why mathematical ideas matter and how they connect to everyday life. Whether it's finance, sport, business, technology, gaming, or problem-solving, I believe maths becomes much easier when you can see it in action.
My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and completely judgement-free. Everyone learns at different speeds, and there is no such thing as a silly question. If you're struggling with a topic, we'll break it down into smaller steps and work through it together until it clicks. If you're aiming for top grades, I'll challenge you with more demanding questions and help you develop the skills needed to achieve your goals.
Having recently completed my teacher training and worked with students across secondary education, I understand the current curriculum, exam requirements, and the pressures that come with GCSEs and A-Levels. More importantly, I understand that confidence often has a huge impact on success. Many students are capable of achieving far more in maths than they believe, and helping students realise that is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
Whether you need help catching up, improving your grades, preparing for exams, or simply becoming more confident in maths, I will work with you to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to your needs.

I am a qualified UK Mathematics teacher with a degree in Banking and Finance, offering engaging and supportive online tuition for students studying GCSE and Key Stage 3 Mathematics.
My teaching approach focuses on building both understanding and confidence. Mathematics can often feel overwhelming for students, so I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills. I break complex topics down into manageable steps, use clear explanations, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student's individual needs and learning preferences.
Lessons are tailored to the student, using real-world examples and interests, and may focus on developing core mathematical understanding, improving problem-solving skills, strengthening exam technique, or preparing for upcoming assessments. I regularly use worked examples, guided practice, independent questions, and exam-style problems to ensure students develop both confidence and mastery of the subject.
As a qualified teacher, I have experience teaching students of different abilities and backgrounds within secondary education. My training and classroom experience have given me a strong understanding of curriculum requirements, effective teaching strategies, differentiation, assessment, and how to help students make meaningful progress.
Typical lessons are 60 minutes in length, although longer or shorter sessions can be arranged to fit schedules or upcoming assessments. Online lessons are interactive, structured, and designed to maximise student engagement and learning.
I welcome students who are aiming for top grades, those who need additional support to build confidence, and anyone looking to improve their mathematical skills in a positive and encouraging environment.
