About Mark
I am a mechanical engineer with four years experience tutoring maths, science and various engineering subjects. I excelled at maths and physical science at school and at the University of Pretoria where I obtained my degree. I have tutored at various different companies for grades 9 up until 3rd year engineering.

My teaching method is to get to know the student in order to be able to relate to the student and better engage with them. I go over the work with the student in order to determine their understanding of the work as well as their ability to practically apply it. I do this by asking probing questions to determine their understanding and where there are gaps I explain the work to the student by using words and concepts that the student will be familiar with and passionate about. I then test and reinforce their understanding by giving them problems of increasing difficulty and patiently assisting them where they struggle.
