About Edward
I am an experienced primary school teacher based in Cardiff, having taught across the full primary range from Reception to Year 6. I am fully trained in the Curriculum for Wales and use its principles to create engaging, meaningful learning experiences.
I strongly believe that mutual trust and respect are the foundations of effective teaching. When children feel safe, valued and understood, they are far more willing to take risks, try new things and grow in confidence. My tutoring sessions are designed to nurture that confidence while building solid skills in literacy, reading and maths.

As an experienced primary teacher in Cardiff, I provide targeted tuition in reading, writing, phonics, spelling, comprehension and maths proficiency for primary‑aged learners.
Every child learns differently, so I tailor each session to their unique needs—whether that’s building confidence, strengthening core skills, or helping them catch up and feel more secure in the classroom.
My approach is calm, encouraging and structured, helping children develop the tools they need to succeed and enjoy learning. Lesson plans are bespoke to match each child’s needs, interests and learning style, ensuring learning is enjoyable and effective.
