About Miss Janel
Hi! My name is Janel, and I'm a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with over 11 years of experience teaching children in the UK and internationally, primarily working with children aged 4–8.
I have experience teaching a wide range of English skills, including early literacy, phonics, reading, writing, speaking and listening. I have taught children with a range of abilities and learning needs, and adapting my teaching to meet each child's individual needs is one of my strengths.
As a qualified Primary Teacher, I have a strong understanding of children's development and bring my knowledge of the Early Years and British Primary Curriculum into my lessons.
I enjoy getting to know each child and finding ways to connect learning to their individual interests. Whether your child is developing their confidence in speaking English, working on their reading and phonics, improving their writing, or simply needs extra support with their English, I will tailor lessons to their needs and level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and journalling, and I have also written a children's book inspired by my daughter's developmental journey.
