Depending on the age of the student, I will amend the tutoring lesson to focus on the specific writing/ reading skill or revision area they need focus on.
The lesson will be fully supported and scaffolded with modelled answers, sentence stems and instant feedback.
I will always ensure learning is built off prior knowledge and will be checking how well the student progresses throughout the lesson.
Lessons will last 1 hour unless another arrangement is agreed. I want to ensure the student feels comfortable and confident to ask questions and be supported. I am able to move at the pace of the learner and will take this into account when planning lessons.
I am happy to set homework tasks for the student.
