About Pedro
As a dedicated high school English tutor, I bring both academic qualifications and practical experience to my teaching practice. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English, which has provided me with comprehensive knowledge of literature, composition, and critical analysis. Along with the formal education, I am also a certified teacher in Orange County, Florida. Of course, none of these credentials would matter if I didn't treat the individuals I tutor with the respect and attention they deserve. You can rest assured I will be consistently punctual and communicative.

My main course of action when it comes to tutoring is meeting students where they're at. I'm fully aware that reading comprehension and strong writing skills are not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Getting to know the individual will, in turn, allow me to tailor the lesson plan to their personality and learning style. I like to start off by familiarizing myself with their current goals in regards to their classwork and future in relation to reading/writing. Also, I want to get a sense of what part of this work needs the most attention. Students should feel comfortable with asking whatever questions they need to ask, so I definitely want to foster an environment where this is the case.
