About Abigail
With my diagnosis of ADHD, I had a difficult time keeping up my drive for school. I often fell behind or procrastinated until the last minute on assignments. During college, I knew that I had to develop skills to work with my diagnosis instead of fighting it so I could be "normal". I am very passionate about mental health and am aware that many people struggle with paying attention, especially if they are not interested in the assignment they are doing, so I am here to help! All of that being said, I also have three younger siblings who needed extra help with homework and staying on task. I am good at fitting in little breaks to help maintain focus.

After struggling in school for many years and being diagnosed with ADHD, I have learned skills that have helped me to stay on track and finish my work on time. With these skills I have learned, I plan to show my students ways that they can work with any learning disability, proving that they are not a "bad student"; they just need to learn in a different format. Depending on the task at hand, we will go over the toughest part first, whether that is just starting the assignment or problem-solving through visual examples or further verbal explanations. We are in this together, and I will learn and research based on your needs to determine what works best for you!
