I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 in Mathematics & French Studies, averaging a first in my final year Mathematics modules. I also took my Mathematics GCSE a year early, achieving an A*.
Key tenets of my tutoring methodology are to:
- Identify strengths and weaknesses,
- Prioritise examinable material,
- Make the material relevant and engaging for students, with the aim to enhance the student's understanding of the subject.
The majority of lesson time will be spent applying the topic's concepts to tackle past paper questions.
Above all, through my enthusiasm for Mathematics and by implementing an open, respectful working environment, I will do my very best help you achieve the highest grade possible.
I hold 6 month's Mathematics tutoring experience, having undertaken a voluntary teaching placement for a school in Birmingham through the Action Tutoring initiative. There, I tutored a group of GCSE-level students predicted C - D grades who all achieved A - B's in their GCSE exams.
As long as I am able to travel using my Oyster Card, I won't charge for travel.
