About Judi
I am a qualified Remedial Therapist with majors in Life Sciences, English (TEFL certified) and Life Orientation.
In 2015 I qualified as a teacher with Life Sciences, English and Life Orientation as my majors, at the University of North West, Potchefstroom. I am qualified to teach my majors up to grade 12, as well as all other subjects for the intermediate and senior phase.
In 2016 I completed my honors degree in learner support (remedial education) at the University of Pretoria. I have always had a passion to help learners that are struggling in the mainstream school system – to assist them to reach their full potential.
In 2017 and 2019 I was nominated by the school and Student Governing Body (SGB) for the national teacher’s award.
In 2018 I completed my school readiness certificate, in 2021 I completed my play therapy certificate and in 2022 I completed my TEFL.
In 2023 I completed my certificate in ‘Assertive discipline’ and my certificate in ‘Learning difficulties in the classroom’. I enjoy studying, keeping up to date with my subject’s content and bettering myself.
I am a mentor teacher for a student from “More than a teacher”. I strive to always give positive feedback but also help form the student where necessary. I enjoy having student teachers in my class and giving them the opportunity to form as a teacher.
I am passionate about bringing a positive change in the classroom by embracing diversity and helping every student to reach their full potential. One of my main reasons for studying education and doing my honors degree in learner support, is because every learner as an individual uses unique learning methods. My honors degree specialized in inclusive education. I anticipate presenting my subjects in a way that will benefit all students, through practical, visual, auditory and kinesthetic methods.

I help with the understanding of certain concepts of the work. I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
I have been teaching for 8 years and absolutely love Biology.
A typical lesson with me, will depend on the content that you would like to know more about. I also help with making notes for tests and exams. I completed a certificate in learning styles and helping learners prep for tests.
