A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)
Opening & Rapport (5 mins): A quick check-in on their day to build trust and a "fear-free" communication environment.
Context Setting (10 mins): We introduce the day's text or essay prompt, connecting it to real-life situations to increase motivation.
Core Guided Practice (25 mins): Interactive reading or outlining where we collaborate on identifying "text-based evidence" for their arguments.
Independent Workshop (15 mins): The student applies what we’ve discussed by drafting a section of an essay or analyzing a character passage while I provide real-time feedback.
Wrap-Up & Goal Setting (5 mins): We summarize key takeaways and set a specific goal for the next session.
