About CHERYL

Since retirement I have tutored 125 students over three years. I was awarded Volunteer of the Year at J.N. Ervin in Dallas ISD for increasing reading scores for K thru 2nd grade low income students. I was able to influence students' attitudes about learning and achieving success in the classroom.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is to make learning fun using songs and various other tools to teach phonics. I am patient and encouraging with struggling students. I believe reading is fundamental to student success and I strive to make learning fun,
