About Haley
In high school I took several AP classes such as Chemistry, Biology, US History, and Composition and Literature. Currently I work as a per diem Teacher's Assistant in my local district, I spent a whole year with 5th grade and am working with 10th grade this year. I’m new in my tutoring journey, but I love working academically with kids! I’ve worked with my brother a lot with his work as he’s going into 8th grade this year. Last school year I was always helping students with work at the end of the day during our study hall block. I’m comfortable with most 5th-10th grade material. I’d like to think I’m very well-rounded and can help with many subjects.

Hey there! I’m Haley, and I’m currently enrolled in an online program to get my bachelors and teaching certification in high school Earth Science! I changed majors a few times when attending a local college, mostly because I loved learning it all! I’ve taken classes in Psychology, Geology, Chemistry, and Education among others. I’m a huge geology fan but dabble in most sciences as well.
I love helping with sciences and middle school level math; General Science, Living Environment, Earth Science, Chemistry, Algebra, Pre-Algebra and 5th and 6th grade math and science. I prefer 1:1 tutoring or small groups to be able to have a good level of conversation and ensure goals and understanding are met.
I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and have worked with a number of kids already who have had trouble with material due to similar issues. I’m super aware of the multitude of ways that can affect learning and retaining focus and information. Let’s find a method that works together!
I’m super open to modifying teaching styles to help you learn and understand the material to the best of my ability!
