Subjects are approached thematically, and when possible chronologically for topics analysed from a historical perspective.
Emphasis is placed on the teaching of mainstream narratives along with skills in critical knowledge for its evaluation which is vital for essay based subjects.
Attention will be given to the student in terms of understanding content as well as the application of such knowledge by blending it with writing, logical and analytical skills.
My name is Brandon and I am currently a second year university student reading History and Politics in the University of Warwick. I saw the advert and found it interesting and would like to apply. As my degree indicates, History is my forte and I believe there is where I will excel the most. However, I am well versed in Politics as well.
Though I am a Singaporean, with a Tier 4 Visa that allows for a 20 hour work week, I did my GCE A Levels in Bellerbys College Brighton and had A level History modules on: History of America from 1890 - 1945, Civil Rights in the USA 1955 - 1968 and Making of Modern Britain 1951 - 2007. I am also well versed in Modern World History, History of Science and the History of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
As for Politics, I have experience in International Relations, Political Theory and general conceptions of politics.
I have had ample experiences working with students and children as mentioned in my CV, and will be staying in London from July to early September and will be back in the UK in late September for the academic year.
