About Leah
Hi! My name is Leah and I am a grade 12 student currently studying at North Toronto Collegiate Institute. As an aspiring future teacher, I can assure success through proper guidance and instructional aid. For any future students looking for an organized, highly responsible and smiley tutor, I am the one to chose! I have been on the honor role for all three years of high school, (looking to make it 4/4!) and have achieved high grades especially in English, French and History related courses. In terms of working with others, I am a part-time lifeguard (affiliated with Zodiac Swim School) and a seasonal camp counsellor (affiliated with Mooredale Day Camp). I also have a wide variety of volunteer experience, helping children with disabilities and serving food at churches. I love collaborating with other people in order to achieve the best possible end goal. My academic resume is also attached so please do not hesitate to take a look at that too! Cannot wait to work with you:) Happy studies!

Hi everyone! Just going to start off and say that I am open to teach any grade between grade 4-10! I am excited to aid and help you achieve in your academics! As a mentor, I am very understanding, however do know how to hold a balance between strict and entertaining. My technique and method would change depending on the age group I teach, of course, but here is a bit of a break-down to how I would carry out lessons/sessions: I will always start off with a short 10 ish minute review and homework take-up from the previous session in order to help recall past information and connect it to the present one. For the remaining time, the session would cover new concepts that connect to the past sessions as well as answer any specific questions. Homework will be assigned, however, I do not give out a lot as I do understand students have other academics from school to complete as well. Homework would be around 5-10 questions regarding the students tutored subject. Some examples include reading comprehension questions, Method of Development hunts, etc. Usually each session would be from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the student and their availability. Cannot wait to connect with you all!

With the COVID-19 pandemic, I will not be offering travelling tutor sessions (going to houses or inviting to my own). Hopefully in the future this will be possible so I can meet all your lovely faces in person:)
