About Katheryn
I am a college student with a major in biology and minors in mathematics and chemistry. I mentor freshman biology students with academic weaknesses and offer support in adapting to college. I have held one-on-one algebra lessons and geometry lessons for two years in high school.

My teaching methodologies are to build relationships with students to make them feel comfortable with me and for me to understand them a bit more. I feel it is important for them to understand the importance of the material and feel excited about learning it- not frustrated. If they don’t understand a concept, I’ll lead with that, then an example, and then allow them to complete more examples on their own. I let them do as much independent work as possible while being able to ask questions.
