My core philosophy revolves around "Learning by Building." Code and algorithmic logic are not meant to be memorized; they are meant to be executed to solve real-world puzzles.
The 30/70 Rule: I minimize heavy lecturing. I utilize a maximum of 30% of the session to introduce a theoretical computer science concept or syntax rule. The remaining 70% is dedicated to active, hands-on coding and debugging by the student.
Deconstruction (The "Whiteboard First" Approach): Before writing a single line of code, I guide students to break down complex problems into logical pseudocode or flowcharts. This builds strong algorithmic thinking rather than just teaching syntax memorization.
The "Why" Before the "How": Students don't just learn how a loop or data structure works; they learn why it is chosen over other structures, focusing heavily on logic, efficiency, and clean code principles.
Guided Error Resolution: When a student encounters a bug, I don't just hand over the fix. I teach them how to read stack traces and use debugging tools to find the solution themselves, building the critical independence required in the tech industry.
