About Ivy
With 8 years of piano teaching experience and nearly 300 students successfully trained, I am committed to delivering structured and motivating lessons. I teach high school students, college learners, and adults who want to strengthen their skills and gain confidence in their musical journey.
My teaching philosophy combines technical excellence with creativity. I focus on scales, chords, rhythm training, finger coordination, and sight-reading practice to build strong foundations. At the same time, I encourage emotional expression and musical interpretation.
I personalise every lesson to match the student’s pace and goals. I set clear targets, track progress regularly, and provide constructive feedback. Whether preparing for examinations, competitions, or personal enjoyment, I ensure steady improvement.
Many of my students have achieved distinction in music exams and performed confidently before audiences. My goal is to create disciplined, confident, and expressive pianists who carry their love for music throughout their lives.

My piano teaching methodology is centred on communication, creativity, flexibility, and steady personal growth. I believe that learning piano should be clear, enjoyable, and meaningful. I begin with strong fundamentals such as posture, hand coordination, finger strength, rhythm accuracy, and note reading. I explain every concept in simple language so students clearly understand what they are practising.
Communication helps build trust and confidence in every lesson. I encourage students to ask questions and share their musical interests.
Creativity plays an important role in helping students connect emotionally with music. I include improvisation, interpretation exercises, and creative rhythm activities to make lessons engaging. Flexibility allows me to personalise each lesson according to the student’s pace and goals.
In addition to piano performance, I teach music theory, harmony, ear training, and sight reading to support complete musicianship. My goal is to develop confident and expressive pianists.
