About Lona
Helping others find their creative spark remains the main reason I stay in this field. I spent 8 years teaching, which means I spent 8 years observing the precise moments where people get stuck. Working with complete beginners and bedroom producers, I have realized that the best results come from simple, clear explanations.
My background as a self-taught producer, with over 10 years releasing music, informs how I approach co-writing and collaboration. I focus on motif development and editing instead of abstract theory.
My students often find that focusing on perspective changes their entire writing process. I enjoy seeing adult learners and content creators find their voice through hard work. It is truly rewarding to see people gain real confidence. I personally find that writing is the best way to process life.

Clarity comes from removing things rather than adding them to a track. Many people think they need more gear, but I find that they just need a better concept.
My 10 years of experience as a producer helped me refine how I teach demoing ideas. We will focus on title development and the core themes of your songs.
These sessions remain methodical to ensure you understand the mechanics of your own work. I enjoy watching the pieces of a song finally fit together. My favorite part of the job is hearing that first finished demo.
