I have taught students in secondary schools and teach privately whilst undertaking my course. My teaching method is based on the needs of the student.
In order to understand the strengths and weaknesses of students my methodological approach focuses on showing the relationship between technique and practice in order to allow the student to tailor their learning experience to their needs. I can teach songs on request and comfortable teaching a diverse range of styles. It is my prime prerogative that musicians are able to play together. For this reason there is a focus in my teaching on improvisation techniques in order that musicians can be comfortable to play together without being limited by their own technique.

I have a Standard rate of £15, if travel is involved i am happy to negotiate a travel fee. Rates are negotiable on the needs of the customer. I would appreciate 12 hours notice if a lesson is cancelled in order to allow for an organised re-scheduling.
I am a graduate in Humanities with a joint Honors in Philosophy and Anthropology. My experience includes teaching guitar, essay doctoring and research, as well as working in the cleaning and service sectors. I have performed with other musicians in ensembles and I am currently studying an MA in Sound in order to develop my production and design skills in the field of collaborative arts. As I am a Portuguese student, I would like to develop my understanding of other cultures by teaching Languages, Music and Philosophy whilst travelling with a view to help others develop their own means on inquisition and expression.

I've only had the pleasure of jamming with Selmo a few times in all the time I've known him, but he's easily one of the most passionate and enthusiastic guitar players I know.
For a lesson from a skilled and well rounded guitarist with an appreciation for all genres you can't go wrong with Selmo.
Give him a go. You won't regret it.
