About Kim
I am a credentialed special education teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. I am also working on my master's degree in special education! I work with students who often feel defeated by academic subjects and help them gain confidence in their abilities with a patient and encouraging approach. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the "light bulb moment" when a student begins to feel like a challenging subject is finally starting to make sense! You can do it, and I want to help you :)

Bring me your challenges! I am passionate about partnering with students in their self-identified (or parent-identified) areas of need. I can help K-12 students make sense of homework assignments, make progress toward IEP goals, or practice skills that just aren't sticking from class. My gentle reminders, redirecting, prompting, and encouragement will help keep you on track. I take a patient and laid-back approach - everyone can learn even if they might learn a little differently! It is important to me that you feel empowered in your education, and avoid feeling defeated. It's okay (and helpful) to make mistakes, we just keep practicing and we'll get there!
