About Maryam
Do you find yourself struggling at school and thinking that learning is 'boring'? I'm a young passionate teacher with a Masters in Teaching Primary, from The University of Melbourne, and I specialise in play-based learning with children, having completed a thesis on this topic. I know how to make learning fun for you again! I also spent 3 years studying Psychology and Japanese and majoring in them both, and so I am able to teach psychology till the university level, and Japanese at a basic level.
I have taught students who vary widely in learning styles and ability levels and am able to differentiate learning between them effectively. Having completed my Masters degree during Covid lockdowns, I also became experienced in teaching students online.

Want learning to be fun and educational at the same time? Look no further, for I specialise in play-based learning, where learning doesn't occur through just reading and books, but through play and movement. Research shows that it takes around 400 repetitions to achieve learning, whereas when it is done through play, it only takes 10-20 repetitions!
Lessons will be tailored to individual students and their needs, taking into account their current level and learning style. I have worked patiently with students one-on-one before who struggled with learning difficulties. This is a safe space where there are no 'silly' questions. All questions during learning are valid!
Subjects taught include: English, maths, science, humanities and psychology. I teach online.
